When are auditions?
Auditions are held annually in May. Upcoming annual audition dates, as well as any additional audition opportunities, will be shared here.
What should I prepare?
Auditions will consist of sight-reading and the singing of​ an aria or art song. We encourage you to select a piece that best showcases your vocal range and the beauty of your voice. Please note, an accompanist will not be provided.
Who is eligible to audition?
Sopranos and altos of the San Antonio area are welcome to sign up for an audition.
What is the rehearsal and concert schedule for members?
Rehearsals are held every Sunday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. during Alegría's concert season. Alegría performs one fall concert and one spring concert.
How do I sign up for an audition?
A sign-up form will be shared on this page and our social media channels prior to the next audition date.
